“There is a fresh and original approach here and though they base their work on preceding theorists in a good way, the book is clearly on the leading edge in its field. I find the scholarship outstanding. The authors’ grasp of the history of psychotherapy and of spiritual counselling, and their command of the literature is very reassuring. The book is timely and should become a foundational text with a long life.” – Philip McKenna
